Mediation Advice

Essentially everything in a mediation is meant to be off the record. It's designed to get everyone to speak openly. this means you can admit a mistake without anyone being able to use it against you later. Similarly, you can't use any concession offered by the owner unless a resolution is reached.

Mediation is not a compromise
The idea is to reach an agreement you can live with, after listening clearly to the other side's comments and after considering all the issues.

Advantages
Mediation has the following advantages :

Quick
Cheap
Excellent venue for each party to have their say - to explain why they're unhappy or why something went wrong
If no resolution, all your other rights are preserved - so you can still go to Court!
With an expert mediator you will not believe the flexibility and range of remedies on which you can come to an agreement.
